It is by no means fixed and we look forward to alterning the status of particular breeds or varieties as more information comes to light.

Ratings:

• Critical <200 purebred breeding females or less than 3 distinct strains
• Rare - 200 - 500 purebred breeding females and more than 3 distinct strains
• Vulnerable - 500-1000 purebred breeding females
• Stable - above 1000 purebred breeding females
